RAILWAY ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP (Your Face Fits)

On Track Technicians created the Rail Apprenticeship to offer a route to a rewarding career in the rail industry. Over 25 apprentices have undertaken the apprenticeship in the past five years, with many remaining in the rail industry and some transferring to other engineering disciplines with the qualifications they gained on the apprenticeship.
Under the apprenticeship programme you will progress through training with the possible award of an NVQ Level 2 in Rail Engineering, functional skills: English, Maths, IT and on-track competency certifications.
The programme includes a earn-as-you learn 32-hour contract.
This includes attendance at College one week per month to receive the underpinning knowledge of the job role. The remaining hours will be spent on track learning your trade.
To be eligible, you must be aged between 18yrs+ by September 2026.

South Eastern Regional College (SERC)
On successful completion, you will achieve your NVQ City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma for Railway Engineering Operatives.
Year 1
Attend college 1 week per month for 6 months
Year 2
Attend college 1 week per month for 7 months

360 Tracked Excavator Operator

On Track Technicians (OTT) is a leading railway infrastructure contractor dedicated to developing railway networks.
We ensure the safety, well-being, and quality of life for everyone working and using the railway.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and reliable Digger operator to work within our Translink Fencing and Maintenance Contracts.
OTT also own and operate an HGV Grab Tipper lorry, Experience with operating HGV Grab lorries is preferred but not essential.
If you have the relevant experience and want to be part of a team, then we would be keen for you to apply.

Your responsibilities will include:
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project objectives
Ensuring all works undertaken are safe and in line with industry best practice
Ability to read plans and drawings plus the ability to review and understand work instructions
You will be responsible for your own plant/vehicle, which includes daily walk around checks before each shift.
Operating other plant equipment within OTT business including but not limited to Excavator, teleporter, lorries & taking part in other railway related works on and off track.
Full training on railway specific competencies will be provided.

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills

SHEQ Manager

On Track technicians are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Manager.
As the SHEQ Manager, you will promote and ensure the well-being, health, safety, and welfare of our employees, contractors, visitors, and third parties.

Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing health and safety policies.
Ensuring compliance with regulations.
Conducting inspections.
Investigating incidents.
Managing our Competency Management System.
You will also maintain accurate records, communicate safety policies, and collaborate with stakeholders to uphold our SHEQ standards. The role requires a proactive approach to initiatives to advance the On Track Technicians SHEQ capability.

Minimum 3 years construction health and safety management experience
NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Ability to Pass NIR Safety Critical Medical

Understanding of Construction Safety processes
IT capabilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and training skills
