360 Tracked Excavator Operator

On Track Technicians (OTT) is a leading railway infrastructure contractor dedicated to developing railway networks.
We ensure the safety, well-being, and quality of life for everyone working and using the railway.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and reliable Digger operator to work within our Translink Fencing and Maintenance Contracts.
OTT also own and operate an HGV Grab Tipper lorry, Experience with operating HGV Grab lorries is preferred but not essential.

Your responsibilities will include:
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project objectives
Ensuring all works undertaken are safe and in line with industry best practice
Ability to read plans and drawings plus the ability to review and understand work instructions
You will be responsible for your own plant/vehicle, which includes daily walk around checks before each shift.
Operating other plant equipment within OTT business including but not limited to Excavator, teleporter, lorries & taking part in other railway related works on and off track.
Full training on railway specific competencies will be provided.

The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial function across multiple rail and/or construction projects, ensuring strong financial performance, robust contract management, and effective risk control.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals
Overseeing the commercial delivery of rail/construction projects from tender through to final account
Driving profitability through cost management, forecasting, and performance monitoring
Managing NEC/JCT (or equivalent) contracts, including change control, valuations, and dispute resolution
Ensuring accurate commercial reporting, revenue recognition, and financial governance
Working closely with operational teams to identify risks, opportunities, and efficiencies
Supporting bids, pricing strategies, and business growth initiatives

Welding Manager / Rail Welding Specialist – UK & Ireland

We are seeking a highly experienced Welding Manager / Rail Welding Specialist to lead and deliver welding excellence across a range of rail infrastructure, rolling stock, and maintenance projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
Operating from a Northern Ireland base, this role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical authority in welding management, inspection, and defect investigation. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, driving quality, and supporting safe, efficient project delivery under demanding rail possession environments.
This position is suited to an individual who is comfortable working flexible hours including nights and weekends, in line with railway operational requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
Welding Leadership & Management
Lead and coordinate all welding activities across rail infrastructure and rolling stock projects
Ensure all welding operations are compliant with approved procedures, specifications, and industry standards
Develop, review, and approve WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to welding teams and site personnel
Monitor welding performance, quality trends, and site productivity
Inspection & Quality Assurance
Conduct and oversee visual inspections before, during, and after welding operations
Ensure compliance with acceptance criteria, specifications, and standards
Manage and coordinate NDT activities and review inspection outputs
Maintain accurate documentation, inspection reports, and quality records
Support audits and client inspections
Defect & Failure Investigation
Lead investigations into welding defects, failures, and non-conformances
Carry out root cause analysis and produce detailed technical reports
Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate repeat issues
Support incident investigations where welding is a contributing factor
Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all worksites
Ensure compliance with Network Rail, RISQS, BS EN ISO, and company procedures
Participate in site briefings, safety reviews, and operational planning

TW 1,2,3/TW5c/ Weld inspector

£55,000 – £70,000 per annum (Northern Ireland base & Depending on Experience)
Potential to reach £75,000+ for highly experienced candidates (CSWIP 3.2 / IWE)

On Track technicians are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Manager.
As the SHEQ Manager, you will promote and ensure the well-being, health, safety, and welfare of our employees, contractors, visitors, and third parties.
